Mr. Speaker, I wish to update the House on key developments since the Budget presentation last year, a few of which are challenging our collective efforts to improve and expand the economy. Some of these developments have imposed significant shocks and will require decisive actions to maintain economic stability.
Ken Ofori-Atta to present 2019 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament
In accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) the Minister for Finance is expected to present the Mid-Year Review and Supplementary Estimates to Parliament not later than 31st July of each financial year. This year’s presentation to Parliament will take place on Monday 29th July, 2019.
Ghana hosts 2019 Africa Caucus Meeting, delegates of the IMF and the World Bank
The Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Ghana will host the first leg of the 2019 African Caucus Meeting of the Governors of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Accra between 31st July and 2nd August 2019.
Fiscal Risk Sub-Committee Inaugurated
An 11-member Fiscal Risk Sub-Committee of the Economic Policy Coordinating Committee to oversee issues relating to fiscal risk management has been inaugurated with a call to help bring sanity to Ghana’s fiscal management.

Disclosure of Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) for GJSP
The Government of Ghana with the support of the World Bank has developed the Ghana Jobs and Skills Project (GJSP) to support jobs and skills for individuals in the country, to be implemented for a period of five (5) years.
