Maame Aba Odeiba Abbey

Maame Aba Odeiba Abbey is the Director of Procurement Division at the Ministry of Finance, Ghana. She leads the Ministry’s acquisition strategies, advises on procurement operations, and ensures alignment with Ghana's Public Procurement Act 2003 (Act 663) as amended and global best practices.

Aba is a seasoned Procurement and Supply Chain Management professional with over 20 years of experience in both public and private sectors. She specializes in Strategic Procurement, Logistics, and Supply Chain Optimization, leveraging expertise gained from roles within the United Nations, Ghana’s civil Service, and International Consultancy Projects.

She has spearheaded initiatives such as designing procurement frameworks, conducting capacity-building workshops, and improving operational efficiencies across government ministries. Her work emphasizes sustainable procurement, value-for-money assessments, and strategic contract negotiations, making her a trusted advisor in procurement and supply chain management.

Her professional qualifications include memberships in the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (UK), the Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management (Ghana), and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK).

Aba is pursuing PhD in Development Administration with a focus on Public Governance. She holds an MBA in Procurement and Supply Chain Management and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics both from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).  

She is recognized for exceptional leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills, driving value creation and operational excellence.
