The Government of Ghana and the Coalition of Individual Bondholders Groups (CIBG), comprising members of the Individual Bondholders’ Forum (IBF) and the Individual Bondholders’ Association of Ghana (IBHAG), on 16th May, 2023, reached agreement regarding the government’s outstanding domestic debt service obligations. This agreement was captured in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated 16th May, 2023.

Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and other leading African and Caribbean figures will be among the top headliners at the 30th Annual Meetings of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) taking place in Accra from 18 to 21 June 2023.

The Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) of the Ghana Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (GHEITI) has today, formally launched the country’s 2020 Mining and Oil/Gas EITI reports, published on December 31, 2022. The MSG is a tripartite body made up of Government, Industry and Civil Society, with the responsibility of steering the affairs of GHEITI.

Today, the Ministry of Finance engaged the representatives of the Coalition of Individual Bondholders Groups and the Pensioner Bondholders Forum. Following the meeting, significant progress has been made on the outstanding domestic debt service obligations.

The 30th Annual Meetings of African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) will take place in Accra, Ghana, from 18 to 21 June 2023. The event will mark the high point of the Bank’s year-long 30th anniversary celebrations, under the theme “Delivering the Vision. Building Prosperity for Africans”.

The Government of Ghana announced today that it will give a presentation via webcast on Thursday, 13th April 2023 at 9:30 am EDT (1:30 pm GMT) to update interested stakeholders on the latest macroeconomic developments and the government’s guiding principles for the upcoming public debt restructuring.

Following the successful settlement and conclusion of Ghana’s Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP) the Government announces the following developments:

The Government of Ghana announced the successful settlement and conclusion on Tuesday, 21st February 2023 (the “Settlement Date”) of its Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP) in respect of the GHS-denominated notes and bonds issued by the Government, E.S.L.A. Plc or Daakye Trust Plc.
